Description
From the Musashi Gold Collection Zheng WU series comes this intricately hand crafted Limited Edition Katana by Master Sword Smith Chris Zhou. Hand forged using 1065 high carbon steel with over 1000 layers this katana is a must-have for any serious collector or practitioner of the way of the samurai. The blade features a real clay tempered hamon. The handle is real ray skin wrapped in black cotton cord and the fittings are made of brass. Included with the katana are two tsuba that can be swapped out to change the look and feel of the katana.
Award Winning Master Sword Smith CHRIS ZHOU is one of the finest sword smiths in China. With over 35 years of experience, he has become a well known and respected Master Sword Smith worldwide. He has forged swords for some of China's top officials including Ulanhu (the former Vice Chairman of China), and Xi Zhongxun (the Deputy Prime Minister of China).
His "Han Wu Sword" was also ranked # 1 in the well known "Masters of Fire" competition. The "Han Wu Sword" was also chosen as the representative of the only opus in China to be displayed at the Macao Art Museum.
Currently he is the curator of the Longquan Zheng Wu Sword Forging Institute and for the Longquan Sword Museum.
Included with this katana is a premium sword bag. Each sword is individually numbered on the tang and comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
